The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Submission

I just mailed out something huge for me: I submitted a custom piece of my jewelry to the costume department of The CW’s The Vampire Diaries. It feels a little surreal, honestly. It’s a show I’ve followed (hello, guilty pleasure!) and the thought that someone on set—even just a stylist—might open a box with my handmade necklace inside is absolutely wild.

The piece itself is a wire-wrapped garnet necklace with a gold halo—deep, dramatic, and totally fitting for Mystic Falls, right? I poured a little extra magic (and maybe a pinch of nervous energy) into this one, knowing it was destined for a TV wardrobe room.

I don’t know if it’ll ever make it on air. Maybe it gets used, maybe it doesn’t. Maybe it becomes part of the “stylist stash” for a while. But honestly, just being in the running is a dream come true.

No matter what happens, this submission feels like a win. It’s a reminder that my designs deserve a shot at the big time—and that sometimes, you have to put yourself out there and see what happens.
